This beautiful stone arch bridge is one of the largest along the Elroy-Sparta Trail, and crosses Missouri Avenue.
Built in 1880, the bridge is in near mint condition, with little to no defects anywhere. The stonework is absolutely stellar as well. It is composed of smaller stones, making the structure that much more unique.
The bridge is the 11th arch, heading west to east along the Elroy-Sparta Trail. The bridge also crosses a main tributary of the Baraboo River.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in great condition. Virtually no major deterioration was noted.
The author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant, due to the older age and great condition.
